Learn the story behind this jewelry seller’s studio, patched together with recycled materials in the Israeli countryside.
Gal Kuperman’s freestanding jewelry studio is a hodgepodge of old coffee tables, copper plates, sardine cans, and wooden doors. Her husband Ben, a long-time collector of assorted treasures, built the structure for storage before Gal decided to pour all of her energy into her Etsy shop KUPERWOMAN in 2014. Prior to moving into the motley workspace, Gal studied jewelry design at Shenkar College of Design in Israel. She graduated in 2011, and began making angular, minimalist jewelry out of her home in the countryside.
